Dream a Little Deeper: Episode 1 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
On this first episode of Dream a Little Deeper, Alex outlines the methodology for the show and quickly details animation history leading up to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Every guest puzzles over if Snow White is actually a good film or not, while reflecting on the image of Walt Disney in pop culture. Harrison questions the film’s length and pacing in terms of narrative structure, and both hosts have concerns about some latent labor, class, and gender themes throughout the film. Alex also feels the need to explain her head canon for the ending, and Harrison mocks this film’s conception of black magic.
